WBC World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) on December 3 will face Derek Chisora (33-12, 23 KOs), and Fury's co-promoter Bob Arum is already planning a fight next year for all championship belts with the IBF, WBA and WBO title holder Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs).
“I think everyone in Fury’s camp agrees that after the fight with Chisora, we should have a fight with Usyk. The same is true of Usyk's team, who are my friends just like Oleksandr himself. I see no obstacles to organizing this fight before Ramadan," Arum said.
“So it would be crazy not to schedule this fight for the last week of February or the first week of March,” added the 90-year-old head of Top Rank.
The words about Ramadan clearly indicate that the fight between Fury and Usyk will take place in the Middle East, most likely in Saudi Arabia. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim calendar, which is sacred to Muslims. In 2023, Ramadan will last from March 23 to April 20.
