Roy Jones Jr. in an interview with talkSPORT.com stated that he spoke with Anthony Joshua and in the near future is going to conduct a trial training session with him. The boxing legend and former King of P4P is now a trainer and is best known for his work with Chris Eubank Jr. in his recent fights. It's possible that Jones and Eubank's collaboration is what caught Joshua's attention, given that he and Chris are good friends.

The former world heavyweight champion has parted ways with longtime coach Rob McCracken after his first loss to Oleksandr Usyk. He was preparing for a rematch with Robert Garcia, and after the second defeat, he announced that he no longer intended to tie himself to any one coach.

Asked about his thoughts on Joshua's training situation, Jones Jr. stated, "He doesn't want to be tied down with anyone. He spoke to me, and maybe I'll be one of those guys who will communicate with him, and we'll see what happens. We talked the other day, so we'll see. He is going to come to my hall and see what we are doing. If it works out, then we will work. If that doesn't happen, he can move on and find another coach."
