Eubank Jr. - Smith Dec. 17?

Negotiations are underway to conclude a contract for a fight between Chris Eubank Jr. (32-2, 23 KOs) and Liam Smith (32-3-1, 19 KOs). The fight can take place in England on December 17 or in the first half of January.

Eubank, 33, was scheduled to cross gloves with Conor Benn in October. The bout was canceled after it was revealed that Benn had tested positive twice recently.

Smith, who was a former world super middleweight champion, has fought two fights this year. He last fought in September, defeating Hassan Mwakinho by TKO.
