Hughie Fury removed from WBA rankings

Hughie Fury (26-3, 15 KOs) was removed from the WBA rankings due to inactivity. In recent months, the Briton has repeatedly canceled his appearances in the qualifying bout for the World Boxing Association heavyweight championship belt.

The Englishman had his last fight in October last year, defeating Christian Hammer. The bout between the British and American Michael Hunter, scheduled for this year, was supposed to be the final eliminator for the WBA championship belt, but after several date changes, it was finally canceled.

Fury recently announced that he has serious health problems after suffering COVID-19, and the 28-year-old boxer will not return to the ring until next spring.
