Joshua and Wilder teams resume talks

Anthony Joshua and Eddie Hearn

Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) and Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) are unlikely to meet in the next fight, but their teams have resumed negotiations, for the first time in a long time. ...

In August, the British promoter sent the first offer, which the Bronze Bomber team ignored, explaining it with a fight with Robert Helenius. Wilder knocked out Helenius in the first round, and his team responded to Hearn's email many weeks later. On behalf of the former WBC champion, negotiations are led by his manager and adviser, Shelly Finkel.

Joshua is expected to return in the first quarter of next year. Dillian White (28-3, 19 KOs) can become his opponent, if, of course, on November 26 he can deal with Jermain Franklin (21-0, 14 KOs). But Wilder could potentially be his next opponent.
