Islam Makhachev spoke about a possible fight with UFC featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski.

"He's a short guy. I asked him why he needs to lose weight right now? But if I beat Volkanovski, people will say that I beat the smaller guy. However, people will always talk.

Recall that Volkanovski is the official reserve fighter in the title match between Makhachev and Oliveira, which will be held on October 22 in Abu Dhabi.
