Undisputed Lightweight Champion Devin "Dream" Haney (29-0, 15 KOs) won by unanimous decision over the former champion George "Fierce" Kambosos Jr. (20-2, 10 KOs). The rematch took place on Sunday afternoon local time at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia.

Haney received a warning in the first round for holding an opponent. 23-year-old Haney constantly bothered Kambosos with his accurate left jab and powerful right punches. Kambosos managed to shock Haney in the eighth round with a right to the body. In the ninth round, the American earned a cut over his right eye and was again shocked by a right punch, but he himself was able to answer with two powerful right punches.

Kambosos' face turned into a bloody mask in the tenth round after Haney's left hooks and right straights. The doctor examined the cuts of Kambosos, but allowed him to continue the fight. Both the champion and the challenger exchanged powerful blows in the eleventh and twelfth rounds. Judging score: 119-109 and twice 118-110.
