Slavinsky lost to Vasquez in a stubborn battle

Ukrainian featherweight boxer living in Los Angeles Victor Slavinsky (13-2-1, 6 KOs) quite unexpectedly lost by a close split decision to American Edward Vasquez (13-1, 3 KOs). The fight took place in a very equal fight, but Vazquez seemed slightly superior to Slavinsky in the exchange of blows. After eight rounds, the judges scored 78-74 in favor of Slavinsky and 77-75 and 79-73 for Vasquez.
