Parker confident in fury's early victory over Joshua

Joseph Parker thinks he's British Tyson Fury will win by knockout over his compatriot Anthony Joshuaif this fight ever takes place. Parker, a former WBO heavyweight champion, trains alongside Fury, who currently holds the WBC title.

Back in 2018, Parker lost to Joshua by unanimous decision in a unification bout. Parker was the first boxer to last the full twelve rounds with an Olympic gold medal winner. Fury and Joshua's promoters were in talks for a fight later this year, but their talks fell through. But most boxing fans are hoping the two heavyweights will clash at some point in 2023.

Parker believes that Fury's speed will be an insurmountable obstacle for Joshua.

“Everyone knows what I think, which is that Tyson will knock him out. I never understood how Tyson fights until I started training with him and I realized that he would outperform any fighter in any weight class I have ever trained with. He has the most powerful motor of any fighter I have ever trained with. He just keeps working and working and working - he doesn't stop," Parker said in an interview with Sky Sports.

“AJ is a big puncher, so he always has a chance to hit Tyson well. I'm obviously biased because we're close, but even if I say I prefer Tyson, people will just think it's because I train with him... but I'll still say that he stop him,” Parker added.

“If Joshua goes forward, I think Tyson will knock him out even earlier, before the sixth round. If Joshua is on the defensive, it will be harder to pull him over, but I think Tyson will stop him anyway. As I said, Tyson will surpass anyone in the speed of work. When you think he is tired, he is not tired. When you think he's finished, he hasn't finished yet. It will go on and on,” Parker said.
