Mayweather knocked out Askakura in an exhibition fight

45 year old legend of the ring Floyd "Money" Mayweather knocked out mixed martial artist Mikuru Askakura in the second round of the Sunday Super RIZIN main event at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

At the end of the second round, Floyd sent Askakura to the floor with a right hand, and Askakura was unable to get up until the end of referee Kenny Bayliss's countdown. Among the spectators in the hall was Manny Pacquiao, who said that he was glad to cheer for his Asian compatriot Askakura.

In another boxing match of the evening in "absolute weight", veteran kickboxer Cozy "Emperor" Tanaka scored an early victory over Floyd Mayweather's bodyguard Jizzy Mack in the third round. Tanaka, who was nearly 20kg lighter at the weigh in, sent Jizzy to the floor twice in the third round until the fight was stopped. After the fight, Tanaka challenged Jizzy's boss to a fight.
