Eddie Hearn, promoter of two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, believes that Oleksandr Usyk win impressively Deontay Wilderif this fight takes place. Last month in Saudi Arabia, Usyk defended his IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight titles by outboxing Joshua.

Then Usyk was targeted by the WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Furywho wanted to fight for the title of absolute champion before the end of the year. However, Usyk made it clear that he would not be ready to fight until early 2023. Because of this scenario, Fury is now in talks to meet Joshua in December.

Usyk says he is ready to defend his titles against Wilder, who will return to the ring next month against Robert Helenius in Brooklyn, New York. This fight will be the first appearance of Wilder in the ring since the defeat of Fury in October last year in their third fight. Helenius, who is considered by many to be a clear outsider, will enter the duel after two early wins in a row over Adam Kownacki.

Usyk said he plans to attend the Wilder-Helenius fight with the intention of potentially taking on the American if he wins the fight.

Hearn believes Usyk's technique will decide the outcome of this potential fight, but he also points out that Wilder has a trump card in the terrible power of a single strike.

“I think Usyk-Wilder is a good fight. I think the Saudis will want a fight for the undisputed title between Fury and Usyk, but that fight won't happen any time soon if we do a Fury-Joshua fight, so we'll see. I don't think Usyk will lose even one round to Deontay Wilder, but at the same time, Wilder can create problems for anyone, ”Hearn said in an interview with ID Boxing.
