Former World Light Heavyweight Champion Alexander Gvozdyk stated that he left the gambling business, in which he plunged immediately after the end of his career in 2020.

“I am no longer in the gambling business. I probably would have, but I was released from it, like all other Ukrainians. Do I regret it? No, I don’t regret it at all, despite the fact that I lost money. I invested in the project, but it's like a joke: when two men meet - one with money, and the second with experience, the second one leaves with money, and the first one with experience.

This probably happened in my case as well. Therefore, I do not regret one hundred percent, because I have made new acquaintances, contacts, gained experience. This is good. I have a head, hands.

At that time there was a coronavirus. The sports world didn't move very fast either. Look at the light heavyweights - they haven't had many fights. Beterbiev and Bivol performed twice. Yes, Beterbiev was able to unify the belts, Bivol beat Canelo, but it's still two fights in three years. I don’t think that I lost a lot, ”Gvozdyk said on the air of the Shipshina Show.
