Gervonta Davis (27-0, 25 KOs), one of the few fighters who can afford to fight on pay-per-view, told fans that his next fight will take place in December.
"Tank" balances between the second featherweight and first welterweight, although he had his biggest fights in lightweight. The American did not say in what weight limit he would return, or who would be his opponent.
For many months now, Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs) has challenged Davis to a fight, who recently jumped to the limit of 63.5 kilograms, but as he himself admitted, he will return to lightweight for the sake of Gervonta. If that were the case, it would probably be one of the biggest PPV hits in recent years.
“See you at the end of the year,” Davis told Garcia a few weeks ago.
