Former UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov answered a question about a possible return to the octagon.

“You forget why I ended my career. I left at 32, at peak time. At least until the age of 34, you can perform at the highest level. I did not leave because I lost my form. There was a situation with my father, a conversation with my mother, the family wanted me to end my career. It has nothing to do with my competitiveness.

I train every day and I could get into fighting shape in six months, but I never will. What was, is gone. At some point in time I was a champion, but that has passed, now another stage of life," Khabib quotes "RB Sport".

Nurmagomedov ended his career in October 2020 after an early victory over Justin Gaethje.
