WBO cruiserweight champion Lawrence Okoli (18-0, 14 KOs) cut ties with 258MGT, which is owned by Anthony Joshua. The two-time world heavyweight champion has supported Okoli's career since his professional debut.
Okoli, 29, is also preparing to change promoters. The Briton wants to stop working with Matchroom Boxing, but the contract obliges him to fight for Eddie Hearn one more fight.
Okoli is expected to return to the ring at the end of the year. Among his potential rivals is Ilunga Makabu, the owner of the WBC championship belt in the same weight category.
