The WBC silver belt in super lightweight will be at stake in the fight between Adrien Broner (34-4-1, 24 KOs) and Omar Figueroa Jr. (28-2-1, 19 KOs). The fight will be the main event of the evening, which will take place on August 20 in Hollywood, Florida.
For the 32-year-old Broner, this will be the first fight after a year and a half break. In his last appearance in the ring, "Problem" won on points against Giovani Santiago, breaking a series of three defeats. Figueroa's last fight was in May last year.
On the same evening, Alberto Puello and Batyr Akhmedov will compete for the vacant WBA super lightweight title. The championship belt in this weight category previously belonged to Josh Taylor.
In Florida, Ukrainian Fedor Cherkashin will also make his debut fight in America, who will meet with Gilbert Venegas Jr.
