Bob Arum is not a big fan of women's professional boxing, but despite this, he decided to sign a second contract with his Top Rank organization with a female boxer. The new athlete of the American stable became the world champion in two weight categories Seniesa Estrada (22-0, 9 KOs).
Until now, the American has been associated with the promotional organization Golden Boy Promotions. Estrada last fought in December, defeating the previously undefeated Maria Micheo by knockout in the fourth round.
The 30-year-old, who was recently scheduled to fight Anabel Ortiz in August, is expected to return to the ring in November. In recent days, Estrada has also received an offer to sign a contract with Matchroom Boxing.
The only boxer under Top Rank's contract to date has been unified world featherweight champion Michaela Mayer, who recently signed a new $1 million contract with Bob Arum's company. According to unofficial information, the value of Estrada's contract includes similar amounts.
