Garcia knocked out Fortuna in the sixth round

Lightweight Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs) scored an early victory in the sixth round over the former two-time world champion Javier "El Abejon" Fortuna (37-4-1, 26 KOs) in the main event of the evening at the Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles.

Garcia began to actively work with a right straight and an accentuated left hook, but Fortuna went forward through the blows and continued to attack. In the fourth round, Garcia landed a short right hand and shortly afterward a body blow, sending Fortuna to the canvas. Fortune got up, but Garcia forced him into survival mode. A right hand from Garcia in the fifth round sent Fortuna to the floor for the second time. The former champion got up, but Garcia rushed to pursue him. The outcome of the fight in the sixth round was decided by Garcia's left hook, which noticeably shook Fortuna and referee Jerry Cantu decided to stop the fight at the 27th second.
