Paul will take on Tommy in an 8-round cruiserweight bout at the Showtime Evening on August 6 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Tyson Fury stated in an IFL TV interview that he would bet $100,000 on his younger brother's win, which prompted Paul to challenge Fury to make a bigger bet.
“Tyson Fury, who earned $40 million last year, is ready to bet $100,000 on his brother. Oh my God. Everyone is in shock,” Paul said. — Hey Tyson, you made 40 million dollars. I know it's not as much as I make, but let's up the ante. Let's bet a million dollars, Tyson. Only 2 million dollars. 3 million dollars. Or how much you want to bet there. Let's. Ready? Let's make a bet."
“I know when someone is insecure because those Twitter bastards are scared,” Paul continued. - I know when they are scared. But I'm not a miss. I'm ready to deliver. Anytime, anywhere. So to hell with your $100,000. Let's make this bet better and make it worth a couple million. I agree?"
Hours later, Fury responded by accepting Paul's challenge.
"Hey Jakey boy, I heard you want to bet more than $100,000," Fury said in a video posted to his social media accounts. “If you want a big bet, if you want a million dollars, go ahead. Do you want a million? Get it."
"Hey Jakey," Fury continued. "I want to see that million dollars in escrow, you moron." Because I don't think you have a million dollars. And I'm not talking about cryptocurrencies, I'm talking about real American green bags, motherfucker."
