Two days ago, information appeared that the former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) signed a contract with the DAZN platform. The contract obliges him to fight twice a year. Promotion veteran Kalle Sauerlanda of Wasserman Boxing shared his thoughts on the British star's new path.

“It looks like Anthony Joshua will be with DAZN for a long time, possibly for the rest of his career. I was surprised by the duration of this contract, but he chose this path, this is his business. This is a great deal and DAZN is an interesting platform, we are also working with it and organizing Filip Hrgovic fights on it,” said Sauerland.

Summer tournament broadcast by DAZN in Saudi Arabia, where the main fight of the evening will be a rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua for the IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight belts, is one of the biggest boxing events of the year.

In August, at the evening of Usyk-Joshua II, the IBF heavyweight eliminator is also scheduled, that is, the duel of Filip Hrgovic (14-0, 12 KOs) against Zhang Zhilei (24-0-1, 19 KOs). Hrgovic withdrew from the May fight with the Chinese due to the death of his father. However, now the Croatian should be ready by August.
