IBF, WBC and WBA world welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. (28-0, 22 KOs) pleaded guilty to drunk driving, which he was charged with in 2019 after a car accident.

Recall that Spence Jr. had a very serious accident in Dallas on October 10, 2019, his Ferrari was completely destroyed. The boxer was returning home from a party, was in a state of intoxication, did not fasten his seat belt and exceeded the speed limit. He ended up in intensive care and spent at least six days there, being in serious condition. Ultimately, the media put forward a version of broken teeth - the only injury that the boxer received.

After the accident, the American fought two fights: first, he defeated former world champion Danny Garcia in December 2020, and then won a unification fight against WBA champion Yordenis Ugas in April 2022. Thus, "Truth" has confirmed its championship form, and in October he will have a big unification fight with WBO champion Terence Crawford.
