George Kambosos (20-1, 10 KOs) has the right to a rematch, but promoter Bob Arum does not hide that now he would like to put up against the undisputed lightweight champion Devina Haney (28-0, 15 KOs) Vasily Lomachenko (16-2, 11 KOs).

“I am ready to fight Lomachenko. I am ready to fight with everyone, I am a real fighter,” said the new WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO champion at 61.2 kg after his triumph in Australia.

The champion and the head of Top Rank have options, but after a rather boring duel on Sunday morning, it will be difficult to return 40,000 fans to the stands. Recently, a young American signed a contract for joint promotion with Lou DiBella and Arum himself.

“These rematch clauses are ruining boxing. I understand the position of boxers and promoters, this is part of the business, but it harms this sport. Now I would rather see Haney vs Lomachenko than fight Kambosos again,” Arum admitted.

A Ukrainian can count on the favor of a promoter, but he must also decide on his own future. Because he still remains in his homeland, where the military occupation of Russia continues.
