Bob Arum believes that promoted by him Vasily Lomachenko (16-2, 11 KOs) will follow in the footsteps of his no less great compatriot Oleksandr Usyk and will also return to the ring to glorify his country in the ring.

Tomorrow early in the morning we are waiting for the battle Devina Haney (27-0, 15 KOs) with George Kambosos (20-0, 10 KOs) for all four lightweight belts, and Lomachenko can count on a fight with the best of the two. However, he must first make a decision about his future. In case of victory, Haney will be obliged to give Kambosos revenge.

“I hope that soon we will be able to organize Vasily’s departure from Ukraine, because I want to put him in front of one of these boys. The city where Lomachenko lives is located ten kilometers north of Odessa. This area was not heavily shelled. He keeps himself in shape and fulfills his obligations to the Motherland regarding Russian aggression,” said the head of the Top Rank stable.

“I didn’t talk to Vasily personally because English is not the language he speaks fluently, but his longtime manager Egis Klimas talks to him on the phone twice a week. And I have first-hand information from him. According to Egis, Lomachenko can be persuaded to leave Ukraine to fight for the world lightweight title,” Arum added.
