Former Interim UFC Lightweight Champion Dustin Poirier said that he would like to meet in the octagon with Nate Diazuntil he left the promotion.
“I was offered this fight twice, and I agreed. And that was only this year, 2022. I don't know why the fight never took place, I'm not negotiating with Diaz.
He wants to close his contract. Let's have a fight at 170 pounds. I think Diaz will not renew the agreement with the UFC. I am ready to fight with him, I can make weight at least next week.
I have been following his career since watching fights at my mom's house. I am a fan of his brother and himself. It sucks if Nate leaves the UFC and I don't punch him in the face," Poirier said on The MMA Hour.
