Usyk-Joshua 2 will be officially announced next week

Eddie Hearn announced that the details of the rematch Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) against Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) will be officially confirmed next week. The fight should take place on July 23 in one of the countries of the Middle East.

“We won’t make it this week, but next week everything will be official. We are very close to signing a combat agreement with one of the countries in the Middle East. I am not saying that it will be 100% Saudi Arabia because we have received many attractive offers from other countries,” said the British promoter.

“Usyk’s team prefers a duel in this region. They want no man's land, they want it more than another fight in the UK. We also had good offers from the USA. There is much less money in the UK,” Hearn added.

Their first confrontation took place in September in London. Usyk defeated Joshua on points, taking the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles from him.
