Well-known boxing columnist Teddy Atlast spoke radically about the work of referees at Saturday's fight between Saul Alvarez and Dmitry Bivol for the WBA light heavyweight belt. Atlas accused the referees of this fight of attempted robbery.

“All clean punches were Bivol’s punches. Absolutely. The fight belonged entirely to him, now we can see under the microscope what this sport is like. Is he really corrupt,” Atlas said during the fight, suggesting that the verdict will tell a lot about the state of modern boxing.

Ultimately, the judges were unanimous, scoring 115-113 three times in favor of Bivol. However, Teddy was still unhappy.

“The judges wanted to rob Bivol by making the fight even on their scorecards. But they couldn't. The fight turned out to be not close enough,” the charismatic specialist commented on the decision of the judges.
