WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol (20-0, 11 KOs) successfully defended his title, winning by unanimous decision Saul Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) in the main event of the evening at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Canelo mostly went ahead, but Bivol showed good technique in the ring and often outboxed Canelo. Judges score: three times 115-113. Before the fight, Bivol was a clear underdog and his chances were regarded as 1 to 5.
