Dariush will not be able to fight Makhachev in July

Top American UFC lightweight Beneil Dariush said that the management of the promotion contacted him regarding the fight with Islam Makhachev in July. However, the American said that he would be able to return only in September.

“Last week, the UFC contacted me about the fight with Makhachev. They wanted to arrange our duel in July. I said that I would not have time to recover by July, and asked to organize a fight in September. Recall that Dariush and Makhachev were supposed to fight on February 27, but the American injured his ankle. As a result, the Russian fought Borry Green and won by TKO in the first round.
