Negotiations on the contract between the ex-world welterweight champion Jaime Munguia (39-0, 31 KOs) and Daniel Jacobs (37-4, 30 KOs) ended without results. The fight was supposed to take place on June 11 in the USA.
According to American journalist Dan Rafael, the parties did not reach an agreement on financial issues with the DAZN platform, which was supposed to broadcast this event. The fight was supposed to take place within the contract limit of 164 pounds (74.39 kg).
Munguya was recently considered as a possible rival for Jermall Charlo. The Mexican also recently withdrew from a WBO interim title fight and a final WBC title eliminator.
