Golden Boy won the bidding for Estrada-Franco

The promotional organization Golden Boy Promotions won a tender to organize a fight for the WBA world title in the second flyweight division between Juan Francisco Estrada (42-3, 28 KOs) and Joshua Franco (18-1-2, 9 KOs). Estrada is a super champion, and Franco is a regular champion in this weight class.

The winning bid was only $120,000. The fight should take place in June or July in the United States.

Estrada, 31, has not entered the ring since March last year. Recently, the Mexican was going to take part in the third fight with Roman Gonzalez, but the coronavirus infection knocked him out of the performance. Franco had his last fight in August.
