Rising lightweight superstar Ryan "KingRye" Garcia (22-0, 18 KOs) made a long-awaited return to the ring on Saturday at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, and scored a unanimous decision victory over Emmanuel Tagoe (32-2, 15 KOs) from Ghana. Judges score: twice 119-108 and 118-109. Tagoe was knocked down in the second round, although he complained to the referee that he had been pushed.
“Nothing but respect for Tagoe, he’s done well. He moved a lot, I need to learn to cut the corners of the ring a little better. I think if I had pressed him harder at the beginning, I might have won ahead of schedule. And so I had to constantly run after him, ”Garcia said after the fight. - We worked really well with Joe Goossen. I felt very comfortable in the ring. I love Joe. I used to do just that and challenge other boxers to fight, but now I have matured, and I trust my team to solve these issues.
