UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya shared his opinion on the undefeated welterweight prospect Khamzat Chimaev.
“This guy is in the welterweight division. Yes, he had one fight in the middle division, but with a low-rated opponent. He can definitely beat some middleweights, but I'll put it this way: "Show me something first."
His last performance was impressive. I said that I may not like you, but I am impressed with what you do. I give him credit. Yes, Khamzat is a beast. But he's a 170-pound beast," Adesanya said on the Hotboxin' podcast.
On the morning of April 10 at UFC 273 in Jacksonville, Chimaev will fight against Gilbert Burns.
