The fight for the regular WBA heavyweight belt between Trevor Bryan (22-0, 15 KOs) and Daniel Dubois (17-1, 16 KOs) will be held on June 18. This date was announced to the World Boxing Association by Don King, who won the tender to organize the fight.
According to the American promoter, potential locations are New York, Miami and London. The winning bid was $3.1 million. The amount will be divided at a ratio of 55 to 45 in favor of the American. Thus, Dubois will officially earn $1.4 million and Brian $2.5 million.
King has 3 weeks to provide the WBA with contracts signed by both fighters. The winner of this fight will be close to the status of an official contender for the full-fledged WBA champion title, owned by Oleksandr Usyk.
