Jaron Ennis (28-0, 26 KOs) and Showtime signed a long-term contract. The first fight under the updated agreement will be an IBF welterweight eliminator with Custio Clayton (19-0-1, 12 KOs).

Some time ago, the boxing teams were able to agree and avoid the contest of promotional applications. Their duel is now scheduled for May 14. In the main fight of the evening, Jermell Charlo and Brian Castano will have a rematch, in which all four championship belts in the light middleweight division will be at stake.

Welterweight prospect Jaron Ennis will have three fights this year. So far, Ennis' problem has been that he didn't have a contract with Al Haymon and was getting good but not the best fights. There is still no agreement with the famous manager, but the contract with the Showtime TV channel, with which Haymon cooperates, guarantees him performances at Premier Boxing Champions evenings. We add that the last nine fights of Ennis also took place on Showtime.

In today's welterweight division, which is very saturated with strong boxers, two young and promising boxers have recently appeared on the horizon. The first of them is Ennis, the second is Virgil Ortiz Jr. (18-0, 18 KOs).
