UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan announced that he was offered to fight with Islam Makhachev instead of Beneil Dariush, who was injured. Arman also explained why he refused this fight.

“I was offered this option a week before the fight. I refused, because I was not preparing to defend myself from the fight, I was not preparing for a left-hander, I was not preparing for Islam, but I was preparing specifically for Alvarez. He's here, I'm here too, what's the point of me changing everything and fighting Islam? I'm not ready for him now. For this fight, I need to prepare well, hone my wrestling skills, do a lot of sparring with a left-hander in order to feel left-handed. This is completely different. I'm not in a hurry, I'm not Bobby Green, who takes fights for money, ”says Tsarukyan.
