Russian mixed style fighter Alexander Shlemenko will not be able to fight at the Eagle FC 47 tournament, in which he was supposed to meet with the middleweight champion of the promotion Faridun Odilov.

37-year-old Shlemenko was unable to fully recover from a hand injury received in a fight with Artur Huseynov in October last year.

“To our regret, Storm does not have time to recover from injury. Champion Faridun Odilov will be matched with a new opponent,” Eagle FC said in a statement.

The name of Odilov's new opponent has not yet been announced. The Eagle FC 47 show will take place on April 1 in Sochi.
