Velasquez tried to shoot a pedophile

There are new details of the arrest of the former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez.

According to the San Jose Mercury-New, Velasquez shot at a car with three people inside. One of them was previously accused of molesting a close relative of the fighter. The identity of the alleged victim of sexual assault is not disclosed due to his minor age.

The accused is 43-year-old Harry Eugene Goulart, who lives in the house in which his mother organized a kindergarten. It is reported that Kane shot at him, but hit the alleged pedophile's stepfather. Goulart was charged last week with one count of indecency against a child under the age of 14. According to an NBC Bay Area report, the violence against a member of the Velasquez family may have been repeated "100 times."

Now 39-year-old Velasquez is in prison without the right to post bail. No formal charges have yet been filed.
