Hearn wins bid for Hrgovic vs. Zhilei fight

Matchroom Boxing and Wasserman win promotional bid to host final IBF heavyweight title eliminator between Filip Hrgovic (14-0, 12 KOs) and Zhang Zhilei (23-0-1, 18 KOs). The fight should take place in the spring in the USA.

Eddie Hearn's company offered $650,000, which isn't too much for heavyweights. Hrgovic will thus officially earn $390,000, while Zhang will earn $260,000.

At the moment, the IBF belt in the royal division belongs to Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs), who in May-June should meet in a rematch with Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs). The winner of the Hrgovic-Zhang fight will become the official contender for the title.
