Bisping wants to see Usman vs Whittaker

Former UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping expressed the opinion that Robert Whittaker should think about returning to the welterweight division.

“Robert said that he will definitely return and the third fight with Adesanya is inevitable, and I think he can safely be called the second middleweight on the planet. He just cannot defeat Israel.

Why shouldn't he drop down to welterweight? Usman needs a fresh me. I think stylistically they are very suitable for each other and this fight will cause a huge stir. It would be a great fight,” Bisping said on his YouTube channel.

Recall that on February 13 at UFC 271, Whittaker failed to regain the middleweight title, losing to champion Israel Adesanya by unanimous decision.
