Deontay Wilder is considering taking a psychedelic drug that supposedly will help him decide whether to retire from boxing or pursue a career. The Bronze Bomber wants to take ayahuasca, a South American drink, to go on a "spiritual journey" and determine whether or not to return to the ring.

Wilder last fought Tyson Fury for the world heavyweight title in the final bout of their trilogy last October, losing by knockout. Now Wilder is 36 years old, and there are rumors that the American can hang his gloves on a nail.

In a recent episode of Byron Scott's podcast, Wilder talked about his thinking and out-of-the-box decision making about his future.

"I'm thinking about taking ayahuasca," Wilder said. “This will be my decision-making process... Boxing left a bad taste for what it did to me. It's dangerous, it's politics, it's a scam... Although I still love this sport."
