Former IBF Lightweight Champion Robert Easter Jr. received three gunshot wounds Sunday night during a robbery in Cincinnati, Ohio. According to doctors, Easter has a good chance of surviving after this incident. The boxer was shot when he tried to run away from a group of attackers who stole two gold chains, three diamond rings and a mobile phone from him. The news about the injury of the boxer was confirmed by his father and coach Easter Sr.
Easter (23-1-1, 14 KOs) was preparing to return to the ring in the first half of 2022. He fought his last fight in February last year, when he won a 10-round fight by unanimous decision over Ryan Martin.
