Famous Ukrainian boxer Alexander Gvozdyk believes that the absolute world champion in the second middleweight Saul Alvarez capable of defeating the WBC and IBF light heavyweight title holder Artur Beterbiev.

“They say styles make fights. Therefore, I believe that Canelo has a very good chance of defeating Beterbiev. Let Arthur be bigger and stronger, but we are not saying that Canelo is a weak guy. He is definitely not weak. I think he's strong enough to be competitive at light heavyweight. Canelo showed it with Kovalev, and Sergey is not the weakest guy. So Beterbiev is stronger, but I still think that Canelo's skills, his defense and attack after defense will be the key.

In the fight with Golovkin, Canelo showed that he can absorb powerful blows. GGG is a phenomenal puncher and boxer. Beterbiev is strong, he goes forward, but I think he is underrated as a boxer and overrated as a puncher. It's my opinion. I fought with this guy. Don't get me wrong, he hits hard, but you can take his punches. I think that Canelo will definitely be able to withstand them. But his skills, defense, elusiveness - I think these factors will be key in their fight," Gvozdyk said in an interview with the Fight Hub TV YouTube channel.
