According to boxing columnist Dan Rafael on Twitter, citing his sources, the IBF ruled that Tony Yoka (11-0, 9 KOs) will not be able to fight with Filip Hrgovic (14-0, 12 KOs) in the final heavyweight eliminator.
The stumbling block was the contract that the Frenchman signed for the fight on January 15 with Martin Bakole. This fight in January was canceled due to the situation with the coronavirus, but the contract remained in force, at least according to the IBF.
According to Rafael, the International Boxing Federation has already sent official letters to the camps of Hrgovic and Yoki, in which it stated its position. Now the next participant in the rating should receive an offer to cross gloves with a Croat Agit Kabayel (21-0, 13 KOs).
