Former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis stated that on the spot Anthony Joshua wouldn't try to outbox Oleksandr Usyk, but would go to fight him.

According to the legendary Briton, he does not understand why his compatriot went into battle against the Ukrainian without a clear strategy.

“For me, the fight with Usyk would be a mission in the sense that I am obliged to fulfill it, I must do it. Are you asking how I would fight Usyk? I would go to cut, this is war!

"It all depends on coach Joshua and their plan for the fight. I think they should come out with a plan this time because I don't understand why they say they didn't have one. How can you manage without a plan? You are the heavyweight champion of the world and you are fighting another champion. Come out with a plan to fight. I don't know what it was," Lennox Lewis said on The Fight Is Right podcast.

Last September, Joshua lost to Usyk by unanimous decision, losing WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles.
