Promoter Don King has officially confirmed that Trevor Bryan (21-0, 15 KOs) will defend his regular WBA heavyweight belt on January 29 in Warren, Ohio. The name of the American boxer's opponent has not yet been confirmed.

Bryan was originally supposed to cross gloves with Manuel Charr on the last weekend of January, but the Syrian residing in Germany was unable to obtain a P1 visa in the United States on time. Charr had until December 29 to complete all formalities in this regard.

According to unofficial information, in a duel with Bryan Charr will be replaced by Jonathan Guidry (17-0-2, 10 KOs), ranked thirteenth in the WBA rankings. King has yet to confirm this information, but in the top 15 of the WBA rankings there are not many contenders who could enter the ring in three weeks.
