Conlan-Wood March 12 for the WBA title

March 12 WBA Featherweight Champion Lee Wood (25-2, 15 KOs) will fight Michael Conlan (16-0, 8 KOs) at a boxing night in Nottingham.

Wood, 33, scored a sensational victory over Tsan Xu in July this year. The Briton, who took the World Boxing Association belt away from the Chinese, will defend his championship for the first time.

Conlan, who has fought his last three fights in the UK, last boxed in August. The 30-year-old Irishman beat TJ Doheny on points to secure the interim WBA belt.
