"This guy always comes out ready for battle, but I'm ready for that too," said Marcus Browne (24-1, 16 KOs) before Saturday's meeting with Artur Beterbiev (16-0, 16 KOs) for his IBF and WBC light heavyweight belts.
“I am focused, ready for the fight and looking forward to it,” continued the challenger, who, after the last two slightly weaker performances, decided to replace his coaching staff and was preparing for this fight under the guidance of coach Derrick James, who is responsible for preparing, among others, Errol Spence.
“To achieve great goals, sometimes you have to make sacrifices and make a difference, so I moved from Staten Island to Dallas. I'm ready!" said Browne.
“Beterbiev is an excellent, very tough boxer with great striking power. And this is what we were preparing for. Marcus has to show his best self, but now is the right time for him and the perfect fight for this stage of his career," said Derrick James.
