Lomachenko vs Stevenson in the US in the spring?

Vasily Lomachenko (15-2, 11 KO) on Saturday in New York will have a duel against Richard Commey (30-3, 27 KOs), but Bob Arum, the Ukrainian's promoter, is already planning his next performances. If Lomachenko wins on Saturday, then next year he may meet with Shakur Stevenson (17-0, 9 KOs).

Lomachenko, 33, has had his last lightweight bouts while Stevenson hasn't boxed above second featherweight. The weight limit at which boxers cross their gloves is likely to be negotiated, Arum said.

Until recently, Lomachenko planned to hold a rematch with Teofimo Lopez next year, but after the defeat of the American to George Cambosos, the situation changed. Stevenson, on the other hand, had previously planned a unification fight with Oscar Valdez, but for now, the Mexican is likely to face Emanuel Navarrete in the spring.
