Former Bellator Middleweight Champion Alexander Shlemenko stated that the fight with Alexander Emelianenko is no interest for him from a sports point of view, but he can go into the cage if the veteran starts to insult him.

“Considering this form of Alexander, it’s not very interesting to me. Because Alexander is far from being in the best shape. And I don't see any reason to fight him. Although, if he calls me, insults me on the Internet and wants to beat me up, then yes. It will already be purely masculine. And from a sports point of view, would that be interesting? I have sports ambitions, and I want to realize them. And Alexander Emelianenko has now turned into a fighter who does this, because this is his job. Yes, definitely, for me this is also a job. But there are also ambitions, and soon I will have a fight for the title,” Shlemenko said.

Shlemenko had his last fight on October 17 at Eeagle FC 42, defeating Artur Huseynov on points. He is expected to fight for the promotion middleweight title early next year.
