Eddie Hearn said he was not interested in signing a contract with Terence Crawford (38-0, 29 KOs), who recently ended his long partnership with Top Rank. The head of Matchroom Boxing will not try to bring the American to the DAZN platform.
“To be honest, I couldn't offer him interesting fights. I believe Crawford should be associated with the Premier Boxing Champions. They have quite a few strong boxers in this weight category,” Hearn said.
“Crawford is an expensive boxer, but still quite a little known. Top Rank lost money on it in their tournaments. Terence sold tickets because he was a local attraction, but his pay-to-play sales were poor,” said the British promoter.
Terence Crawford is currently the WBO World Welterweight Champion. Next year, the 34-year-old American wants to fight a unification fight with Yordenis Ugas or Errol Spence Jr.
